Meet Duo Ziriab, a sparkling musical ensemble for whom creativity rhymes with virtuosity!

Comprising Lisa Meignin on flute and Gaspard Schlich on guitar, Ziriab is an explosive, innovative and hybrid duo, in the sense that it draws its inspiration from traditional music, which it blends with modern and contemporary playing styles, resulting in a repertoire of original compositions or virtuoso, lyrical arrangements.
Wishing to mark a real break with the traditional flute & guitar duo often heard in a more classical repertoire, Ziriab seeks to give a new image to this formation of great complicity where flute and guitar are one.
Their music? An explosive cocktail of a thousand colors, blending classical, traditional and contemporary influences through original compositions and arrangements.
Following their studies at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Paris, they won the Recrea International Music Competition after being finalists in several international competitions. Their talent has not gone unnoticed: Mathias Duplessy, the famous guitarist from the group "Les Violons du Monde", even dedicated his latest composition to them, impacting their growth on the music scene.
Gaspard Schlich (guitar)

Gaspard Schlich, born in Dijon in 1995, is a guitarist, composer and improviser. After studying at the Burgundy Franche-Comté music school, he deepened his knowledge of improvisation and contemporary techniques, composing works such as "Exodes", a cycle for guitar and clarinet. During his stay in Seville, he specialized in flamenco before continuing his studies at the Haute École des Arts du Rhin and the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Paris, where he explored the fusion between flamenco guitar and contemporary music. Founder and member of Duo Ziriab, he performs throughout France (Le Vent sur l'Arbre, Bach à Bacchus, etc.) and collaborates with the Telescopik collective, which he founded in 2022, specializing in the creation of musical shows. A finalist in several international competitions, he pursues a career as a concert performer and teacher, highlighting the diversity of musical influences he has explored.

Winner of 1st prize at the Dutch International Flute Competition, and also an academician at the Lucerne Festival in 2022, she pursues a career as an orchestral musician, playing recently with the Chor Regio Basel, the Orchestre de Chambre des Pays de la Drôme and the Orchestre Dijon Bourgogne.
